First Craft Show of the Season

This is a craft show I've been trying to get in to for several years.

Several of the other vendors we talked to said: "We just like coming here, it's a great little community."  After our first experience here, we agree.

Here we are, near the end of the show.

There's one of my "new" props, the child size ironing board I won at an auction.

First time to have pegboard provided behind our table.

 

It was great to have our friends, Nancy and Bruce S.  come up from Spearfish.

 

This is "Libby's Loft" our cozy and very reasonably priced home away from home.  (Yes, that is a skiff of snow you see in the driveway.)

Good Morning

This is the sunrise that greeted us this morning.

My little camera really doesn't do it justice.

It was constantly changing until there was first a pinkish glow....

and then the light was golden.

Happy Birthday, Howard!

Howard T's birthday is Monday the 15th, and his family had a little party for him this afternoon at the nursing home.    Here he is with his great granddaughters.   They belong to Kaci, Gene and Susan's daughter.   The hat belongs to Howard, but he hasn't worn it for many years.   The family rediscovered it recently.

Late Summer Neighbors

The swallows nesting under our eaves had a second batch of babies.

Later this day, all the little ones had left the nest.

Lentils have been harvested, and Ralph has done some baling around the place.

Sunny Sight

It's been interesting to watch this field of sunflowers grow and develop.

It's a huge field, and the rows are so straight and long.

Spring Planting

I found a place for it outside, on a planter we'd had around for a while.  The petunias are a "Neptune Mix" in pinks and purples.   Marilyn is saying she might refinish the wood on this planter...

One more Project!

 

Here is yet another project Johnny did for us.   The old sign down by the road was faded and nearly illegible.  Now we have bright, fresh, new numbers.   It even glows in the dark!

Johnny and Ellen Visit, Part 1

It was great to have Johnny and Ellen visit recently. Johnny did some riding!

We had a list of projects for Johnny to tackle.

He straightened these plant hangers.

A new faucet was installed in the back bathroom.

The clothesline was re-strung!

The old wire line was just about to break.

I am quite enthralled with the new line!
