"New" Vehicle Parked along our Road!

On my way home from work yesterday, it was so interesting
to see this old car in the farm yard south of us.  It's all dusty.
We wonder if they pulled it out of one of the old buildings.

They are harvesting on this place, and have been
storing grain in the sheds there.

I went down early this morning to take pictures when
there was good light.  (And before anyone was around!)

Home Improvement

We have been on "the list" for quite some time.
Finally, our name came to the top!!
Monday night, this trailer pulled in to the yard.

We have been needing a new roof.
This one was nearly 30 years old.
Around  7:30 Tuesday morning, the crew got started.
They were tearing off the old shingles in the following picture.

The picture above shows the progress after the first day of work.
Old shingles and black paper removed, new base layer attached.

I was amused to find this on the trailer hitch Tuesday evening.

 Different angles.   We like it.

The crop in front of the house is durum.  Lovely green.

Works in Progress

Just a few things I've been working on today.
They might be going in my Etsy store.
Here's the link:

The Etsy shop is also a work in progress!
I'm still learning how it all works.
The first thing I sold went to Orange, California.

Last Craft Show of 2014

It was dark when we checked in to our motel in Glasgow
Friday night.   The next morning I opened our curtains
and this was the view out our window!

It was kind of neat to see all the Case IH equipment.
Our dad owned some of this red machinery!

Here's Marilyn, all ready to start selling flower stuff.

A look at the other end of the table.  The tables were
new, and they were much narrower.   It seemed like I
crammed my things together more than I would have liked.

A look at the middle of the table.   I was so
happy to sell the round  "pansy explosion" picture.

Thanksgiving 2014

We had Thanksgiving dinner today with Bernice in the Activity
room at the nursing home.

Bernice was having a good day.
She is pretty amazing at 97 years old.

Almost home.  We were glad we didn't
have to travel very far today.

Family would be interested in the new look across the road.

Pansy Explosion

I've been having trouble with the Amy's Pressed Flowers blog,
so I am using this blog to document some of my projects.

I've had this round frame with the hanger
attached for several years.I've tried several flower
designs in it, but nothing seemed quite right.

I finally just started layering pansies, added a few roses,
and a few touches of allysum, and it is done.   Our first craft
show is in Billings on Oct. 18th.    I am in full production, but still
have quite a few more frames to fill.

More Barn Pictures

The smaller barn came down yesterday.
I took a few more pictures of the remaining
barn this morning.   (North side)

A few pictures inside the barn.

I believe Jerry last used this baler.

August Green (and some red)

Here are a few pictures I took on my walk yesterday morning.

The grass north of the place is quite green for August.

And for those who wait for the chokecherry jelly,
you will be happy to know they are showing some color!

I snapped this very quickly as I was walking by on the road.
